No styling changes
are anticipated for the 2012 Ram from the 2011 model. The aggressive
broad fenders and cross-hair grille create a bold look from the front.
Even though this truck is at home on any work site, it's also easy to
tame on city streets. The 2012 Ram will have a
two-door regular-sized cab, an extended Quad Cab and the Crew Cab. The
Crew Cab has four standard doors and a bench-style back seat that can
seat three adults comfortably. The Quad cab has smaller clamshell-style
doors for rear access. The regular cab will offer a 6.3-foot bed and an
8-foot bed. The Quad Cab has room for the 6.3-foot cargo box while the
Crew Cab has a 5.6-foot box. The various cargo beds will still be able
to handle standard four by eight foot sheets of drywall and other
building materials. The sheets would have to extend past the tailgate on
the Crew Cab, but not by much. Ram's strongest points
have always been handling and the ride itself. Ram is the only
full-size pickup to use a solid rear axle with coil springs for a smooth
cruise. That translates into responsive steering and a bump-resistant
ride, even on broken
